Tunstall Employee Satisfaction Survey Results

The dedication and passion of the our team here at Tunstall play a crucial role in everything that we do.
With this in mind, Tunstall Healthcare conducted its 2017 employee survey to identify areas that might require improvement. In the survey, employees provided their valuable opinions and perspectives to help Tunstall guide the development of a successful workplace.
In the words of Lyn Davies, the managing director, “2017 is going to be a pivotal year for us as we celebrate our diamond anniversary and drive the next generation of digital connected healthcare services to transform the healthcare landscape”. She notes that “employee surveys are important to identify what areas we are performing well and the areas for improvements”.

Taking pride in the workplace
Tunstall’s core values are reflected in the motivation of our employees. We were happy to see that the survey results showed pride in the workplace, with a passion for our customers and clients, and the care we offer them.
“We are grateful to receive the positive feedback that reflects our commitment and passion to making a difference in our clients and customers lives,” Ms Davies said of the results.
Of the respondents, 95 per cent feel proud to tell people where they work, with 93 per cent believing Tunstall’s mission makes them feel their work is important, compared to 90 per cent in 2015.
The survey respondents further supported this message of commitment and dedication to Tunstall’s ethos, stating that they feel they are “making a difference to clients and customers lives”. As one employee noted, “the ability to help and assist people in their time of need” is a rewarding part of the job and an integral aspect of feeling job satisfaction.

Drive to success
We are happy to see our employees reaching for success and strive to provide opportunities for career development.
Our staff survey results showed that our team is happy to be working in a diverse and challenging environment, working closely with innovative products and technology. The opportunity to expand career knowledge while making a difference in the lives of people in need was pointed out as one of things people like about working at Tunstall Healthcare.
One of the key factors to our employees’ success is knowing what is expected of them – 97 per cent of respondents agreed with this, up from 91 per cent in 2015.

Creating a welcoming workplace
Caring for others is at the heart of everything we do and this extends to the care we show employees in the workplace.
Having a welcoming, inclusive staff culture is important and we are excited to see results that indicate employees feel supported and encouraged.
Results have improved since 2015, with 97 per cent of respondents saying they believe someone at work cares about them as a person, up from 94 per cent in 2015. Meanwhile, 93 per cent of respondents showed that they believe their manager or supervisor values the work done by them, up from 87 per cent in 2015.
Comments from the survey reflected the appreciation of the environment at Tunstall, with some noting “the work atmosphere is friendly and welcoming'”and pointing out “the overall positivity of all staff.”
“I was pleased to read that our employees continue to view Tunstall Healthcare as a welcoming, supportive and positive environment, and are proud of the services we provide,” said Ms Davies.
“We thank everyone who took the time to participate so that we can use this valuable information to develop our workplace and ultimately create the best workplace we can for everyone,” she concludes.
